FENZHENGROU STEAMED BEEF WITH RICE FLOUR

Xi’an famous foods:- The fenzhengrou is one of my favorite foods to get in China. It is found around China, functioned hot and sweet in Sichuan, and Xi’an, in which it is a bit more mild but functioned using raw cloves of garlic to get an excess pinch of flavor. It is basically cooked beef with chunks of rice with a few spices served with a soft bun. The location I go into in Xi’an is run with a friendly Hui girl who’s pleased with her bowl.

It’s this massively bloated sticky rice ball filled with an extremely sweet brown sugar and rose jam combo. The best part is how it is super gooey and tender once you bite into it, and the candy floral rose jam just gushes out as you consume it!

This is one of the most refreshing things you will ever put in your mouth. It is basically a cold rice porridge with seeds, seeds, nuts, and dried fruits. It goes along perfectly with all the guantang jiaozi dumplings, so purchase one of each along with a liangfen at the exact same restaurant as previously.

The zenggao is my favorite Xi’an dessert. It is made out of sticky eggs, rice, and legumes, and it is super sweet and filling. You may find all of it across the huimin jie district. I discovered one provided by a guy selling it by a giant tricycle! It was super yummy!

If you like plump dumplings, juicy buns, and all the different kinds of dim sum and bao’s in China, you are going to love these baozi at Xi’an. They offer a massive selection of fillings, which you can point in and try to your heart’s delight. Definitely order the pumpkin baozi, my personal favorite, AKA nangua baozi.

LIUXIANG NOODLES AKA GUNGUN NOODLES – Xi’an famous foods

Following the biang biang mian, also referred to as biang biang noodles, then these noodles were my favourite in Xi’an. This is a little out of the Xi’an huiminjie district, but so worth coming for! The coolest part is watching the guys in the back kitchen pull the noodles. It’s a noodle heaven! They pull tens of thousands and tens of thousands of noodles each day and they have countless bowls waiting on the counter ready to pour the hot noodles on top of! You are going to be so excited the moment you see these!

JINGGAO – Xi’an famous foods

The jinggao is just another of Xi’an’s greatest desserts, made from sticky rice, increased jam, and some nuts. It is very cheap for one stick, typically one or two RMB, and can be found all around the huiminjie location. While I did’t find a particular spot with the very best jinggao, you can locate it so readily everywhere and they are all quite similar.
